Occupational Therapist – Women's and Girls' Health (Bendigo)
Are you an experienced occupational therapist passionate about supporting women's health? Join our small team at Berdy OT in Bendigo and make a meaningful difference in the lives of girls and women of all ages.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide culturally and gender-responsive occupational therapy services tailored for women and girls, focusing on areas such as major life transitions (including school, puberty, adulthood, motherhood, and older age), pelvic wellbeing, intimate occupations, healthy relationships, matrescence, living well with chronic conditions and disabilities, and healthy aging.
- Clinic-based practice (mobile service negotiable)
- Work with clients to develop individualised goal-focused plans and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- 0.2 to 0.6 EFT available. Ongoing and fixed-term positions negotiable.
Requirements:
- Degree in occupational therapy with current AHPRA registration
- Working with Children's Check, and agreeable to Police Check
- Willingness to be registered provider for Medicare-funded services (BAMH and/or CDMP)
- Demonstrated capacity to practice with gender-responsive and intersectionality lenses, including compassion-focused and trauma-informed care.
- Experience (or passion and dedication to learn) in women’s health and awareness of matrescence bio-psycho-social-spiritual-political developmental domains.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and self-management skills
- Willingness to engage in regular supervision
